MIA

I have been MIA from the blog world for nearly 2 years. I can sit here and blame it on work, marriage or life in general, but I'm going to call a spade a spade and say that it was sheer laziness. :sigh: This is one of my immediate goals...to improve my blogging skills.

Since the last time I wrote in October 2008, a lot has happened. I won't go into too many details, but here is a quick recap:

November 2008 - had ACL/MCL reconstructive surgery
December 2008 - Mike and I celebrated our first Christmas as newlyweds!
January 2009 - We had a family cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and it was fabulous. I also gained a little brother, Parker, born on January 27.
May 2009 - Mike got a new job as an insurance broker
September 2009 - The Mr. and I celebrated our ONE year anniversary. It's been a wonderful year
November 2009 - Mike and I took a cruise to the Mexican Riviera

As for 2010 - nothing that exciting has happened this year besides getting another new baby brother, Dylan! Mike and I are staying busy with our insane workouts, running races, caring for our fur-babies, working our butts off, traveling as much as possible, loving life and each other, and living each moment to the fullest.

Right now, I am sitting in a lonely hotel suite in Orlando missing my little family. I will be in Orlando for a few days, then I head to Vegas for work. August is really busy with travel so I will try to be diligent with the blogging.

Halloween 2008

Over the weekend we went to a Halloween party! It was a fun time except for the fact I was hopping around on crutches the whole time! Oh well. I went to the Orthopedic doctor yesterday and he thinks it is my MCL or ACL but I will need to get an MRI to determine the actual injury. Fun times. So right now I'm trying my best to schedule the MRI...I hope I can get in soon so I can figure out what the problem is. Other than that, no new news. We're having game night for some of our friends this Friday night...that should be fun!

Boy, I can't wait to get off these crutches!!!

Life since September 19, 2008...

...has been great!!! Mike and I have finally settled in to married life. I've gone through the hassle of officially changing my name (p.s. what a pain in the a**!) and now we can just concentrate on being together and moving forward in our careers. The dogs are great and they are looking forward to the days when they can prance around in the snow! Maybe not Bernie because he will sink in the snow...but definitely Mickey and Tyson! Well I thought I would join the rest of the blogging world because it seems like a great way to keep people updated...especially family who live far away :) Right now I am battling pink eye on crutches! haha it's quite a funny site! That sounds odd, but last Saturday during my football game, I busted my knee and I won't find out what is wrong until I go to the doctor on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Welp, I think that about sums up everything at the moment! I will try and remember to keep updating this site....we shall see!!!
